David R. Vasquez - Piano 
Founder and Director of MusicPoint (Worship Arts Academy). David began studying piano at the age of 5.  He studied under Dr. John Raimo (Pan American University-Texas) and was accompanist to the university choir.  Has taught music for over 20 years.  Involved with building music teams and 100's of students has enabled him to reach many communities in S.E. Los Angeles County.  He believes that after parents, teachers play the second most important role in the lives of children.  David enjoys playing many styles of music and preparing the next generation of musicians.

Gerson is a much sought after instructor and performer. He has many years in the music industry and is well known in the Los Angeles region.  Gifted in all styles of music from Jazz, Pop, to Latin & More.

Yarlene Cortez - Piano

Yarlene is passionate about Music education and administrates our program, Worship Arts Academy. She studies classical piano at Biola University and is completing her B.M. in Music Education. While teaching and administrating, she also works with several ministries in building strong worship teams. Currently, Yarlene is the worship director at Playa Christian Church and states, "I'm passionate about music because I can express my thoughts and feelings with total confidence. My desire is that I may continue to use my passion to bless the lives of my students and that they may be able to bless their community with their talent."

Noreen Valdes (Voice Class) graduated from California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and a Mutlple Subject Credential/Music Credential. She had the privilege of serving at the Music Therapy clinic under the direction of Ron Borczon MTBC, where she developed a desire to introduce music to children of all ages and developmental stages. Noreen loves to teach children of all ages as well as adults, she teaches from her heart and finds great joy in encouraging others to experience the beauty of music.  She is currently working on a new recording album.

Gerson Galdamez (String Class) is an undergraduate student at USC, and has been playing the violin for 10 years. He began his musical studies at the age of 8 under the instruction of Julie Metz, and continued studying with Deanna Miner and Tammy Tsai. He has performed with several music groups and bands in prestigious concert venues, such as Carnegie Hall in New York City. He is currently a professional violinist for churches, weddings, and recording sessions, and finds joy in helping students develop musical passions and skills.

Ana Vega (Guitar Class) is a dedicated and passionate teacher who enjoys teaching children and adults.  As one of the original teachers that started with this program, Ana has enjoyed success year after year in seeing her students learn the guitar.  Her focus is teaching children to embrace the art of music and to impact the community with it.

Carol de Leon-Salcido (Voice) Classically trained as an operatic coloratura, Carol received her Master of Music degree from California State University Northridge in 2010 where she performed several operatic roles. 

As an instructor, Carol is acclaimed for bring out the best in each of her students. Her method offers beneficial communication and technical skills for performance.  She combines acting and movement while developing unwavering self-confidence leading to quick and effective results.  Carol is by no means a conventional artist and teacher. With the understanding that every voice is different she believes in stepping outside of the box and creating new methods of teaching a student how to understand their voice.
